Welcome to Shelburne Springs. We are a boutique hotel and event space located in a 1914 mansion on the historic Mohawk Trail in Shelburne Falls Massachusetts. Our seven suites feature luxurious bedrooms, full kitchens, sleeper sofas, walk-in showers, heated floors, individual HVAC systems, and private decks. We have a spacious lobby with stone fireplace and expansive country views, plus a patio area with outdoor seating. There is a full-service bar and kitchen, with local drinks, guest chefs, and theme dinner parties.

Our property includes 38 acres of native trees and flowers, natural springs, trout streams, and assorted wild animals. Explore the woods, hike the trails, or get cozy by the fire pit. Your stay includes free parking, lightning fast wi-fi with smart TVs, and a delicious hot breakfast made to order. Fully contactless check-in and check-out is available. Planning a special event? The entire building can be rented for a small wedding, rehearsal dinner, family reunion, bachelor/ette party, corporate retreat, etc.

We are an easy 2 hour drive from Boston, 3 from NYC

Is there a 2-night minimum?
Only on the weekends, only in the Deluxe Suite #1 and Apartment.

What is your deposit and cancellation policy?
We charge your card the full amount when booking.
You may cancel up to 7 days prior to your stay for a $50 cancellation fee.
After that, there are no refunds and no exceptions.

How do I check in?
The manager is generally here until 5pm, just go into the office (by the main entrance) for your room key. Please let us know if you are checking in after 5pm. If you are checking in after hours, you will receive an email with all the needed information.

Where do I park?
Anywhere in our lot is fine. There are two handicap accessible spaces if you need them.
If you are staying in the annex units (#5 and #6) you are welcome to park in the upper lot, closer to the rear entry door. There are 2 electric car chargers available for guest use.

Where is my suite?
Suite #1 (ADA, deluxe extra-large with fireplace and deck) is located on the first floor down the hall. Suites #2-#6 are all upstairs, #7 (two-bedroom apartment) has a private entrance and local stone patio.

How big are your suites?
The smallest is 500 sq ft, the largest is 1265. All of them include free wi-fi, multiple 50-inch smart TVs, individual HVAC systems, sleeper sofas (full or queen), walk-in showers, heated floors, Ashfield stone countertops, refrigerators, microwaves, induction cooktops, coffeemakers (traditional and pour-over), and electric kettles. 
Four of them (#1, 3, 5, 6) have private mahogany decks. The two without decks have extra-large bedrooms with king-size beds and views. Suite #1 also has its own Ashfield stone gas fireplace. Suite #7 has a private entrance, soaking tub, washer/dryer, gas range, breakfast bar, dishwasher, and large French door refrigerator. 

How many people can stay in a suite?
Suite #1 can accommodate up to 4 guests (queen sleeper in living room).
Suite #2 can accommodate up to 4 guests (queen sleeper in living room).
Suite #3, 4, 5, 6 can accommodate up to 3 guests (full sleeper in living room).
Suite #7 can accommodate up to 6 guests (2 bedrooms plus queen sleeper in living room).

Can I bring an extra child if I bring my own air mattress?
No. If you have more people, please book a larger suite.

Can I bring my pet dog/cat/ferret/sloth/iguana/chimpanzee?
Please leave your animals at home. Certified service dogs are allowed.

Can I smoke/vape in my room?
Please take it outside and be courteous to our other guests.
You will be charged a $300 cleaning fee if you smoke inside.

When does the bar open?
Our bar The 904 Lounge is open Thursday-Saturday 5pm-9pm
We will sometimes be open on other days or other hours depending on the season and events.

How does the heat/AC work?
In Suites 1-6, on the thermostat, click MODE to set to HEAT or COOL, then use arrows to adjust. In the Apartment Suite 7, use the remote controls for the mini-splits, slide to open, set to HEAT or COOL, then use arrows to adjust. (Make sure all remotes are set to HEAT or COOL)
Note: all suites have their own individual air handling, so you never share it with another room.

What are the 2 white switches on the wall for?That is an ERV (Energy Recovery Ventilator), it pumps in fresh air from outside.

How does the TV work?
The small remote powers the TV and streaming options.
Large remote is for regular cable, under “cable tv” or “HDMI1”

What is your wi-fi password?
Guest network is shelburnesprings, password is shelburne

What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is 3pm, check-out is 11am. You may request later/earlier for a small fee.

I will be out late, how do I get back into the hotel?
There is an electronic lock code that will be included in your confirmation email.

Can I get some extra bedding for the sleeper sofa?
Yes, it is already in the suites, either in the closet, storage bench, or inside the sleeper itself.

What do I do if I have a problem with my room?
If no one is in the office, just email shelburnesprings@gmail.com.

What’s up with the drinks and snacks in our room?
The water, seltzer, coffee, tea and snacks are complimentary.

What’s the deal with breakfast?
A delicious homemade breakfast is included in your room rate. Served from 8am-10am. 
You can come downstairs and eat in the lobby or take it back to your room. 
Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions or special requests. 

Where’s a good place for lunch or dinner?
There are many great restaurants nearby, check out the “Dining” page on our site.

Do you offer daily housekeeping?
In line with our nature-friendly philosophy, we do not change your sheets daily. 
If you are here for an extended stay we are happy to service your room mid-week. 
If you need more towels, bathroom amenities, etc, just ask/call/text/email.

Do you have irons and ironing boards?
Yes, they are available upon request.

I forgot my ______ can I get one from you?
We have a supply of various items you may need, just ask.

Can I hike/bike/wander the trails out back?
Absolutely. We have 38 beautiful acres to explore. Just be aware of poison ivy and ticks, we are in the country.

Can we jump on the steel buffalo?
Feel free to photograph but please do not climb, it is fragile. The buffalo lived next door at the Mohawk Trading Post for several decades, check out the vintage pictures upstairs.

Can I rent the whole place out for a wedding/rehearsal dinner/special event?
Absolutely, just ask the manager or email shelburnesprings@gmail.com for details and availability.

Do you offer any special rates for extended stays?
Depending on the dates and availability, we are happy to work with you.

Do you accept AAA, AARP, checks, Diner’s Club, crypto, or NFTs?
Nope. Cash or credit cards only.

Oops, I accidentally took the key home with me, what do I do now?
Please don’t take the key home! We will charge your card $200 for a missing key. Send the key back and we will refund the charge.
